The International Film Festival, which has become one of the symbols of the city of Haifa, did not take place this year during the Sukkot Festival, but will instead take place in a winter edition between December 31, 2024 and January 12, 2025. ##​ Prepare for the Israeli premiere of the best Israeli cinematography. ## For the first time: the unification of the feature film and documentary film competitions into one competition: the "Israeli Film Competition." ## 12 films will compete this year: 6 feature films and 6 documentaries.

The 39th Haifa International Film Festival will take place during Sukkot, between October 7, 2023 - September 28, 2023. The festival will open with a festive screening of the film "Jeanne Du Barry" with the director and lead actress - Maiwenn and the actress and producer Marin Boca.
