בבוקר 7 באוקטובר 2023, החיים של רייצ'ל גולדברג־פולין התרסקו, כאשר בנה האהוב, הירש, נחטף לעזה. רייצ'ל ובעלה ג'ון פעלו בכל דרך, בגלוי ובחשאי, כדי להביא לשחרורם של הירש ושל החטופים כולם. אבל הם לא הצליחו להציל את בנם. ביום ה־328, לאחר ששרד פציעה קשה, אלימות והרעבה, הירש נרצח בידי שוביו לצד חמישה חטופים נוספים.

For sixty days, playwright Roy Yosef spent in the reserves at the "Shora" camp somewhere in the center of the country. Sixty days during which he engaged in one of the most complex tasks known to the human mind – identifying the victims of the massacre. For too long hours, Roy and the soldiers recruited for the mission searched for an identification mark that would facilitate identification and allow burial.
