15 years after immigrating to Israel from Morocco, Meir Sheetrit became the youngest head of the council in Israel, ever since. The revolution he made in Yavneh caused veterans to make a pilgrimage to him. A few years later, he was elected to the Knesset on behalf of the Likud, served there for 30 years, and served as a minister in six ministries. He longs for the days when the country he loves so much will return to being the country he knew. Until then, he continues to fight for it.
