Bulgaria 1942. A fascist state, a member of the Axis of Evil, signs an agreement to deport its Jews for extermination, but uses most of them as cheap labor to build and restore infrastructure, under constant threat of deportation. This is the continuation of the story of Leon and Blanca Conforti during World War II, based on a true story. The saga begins in the first part, 'A Thousand Clouds Are Rising on the Horizon', during the Great Depression, continues through the most difficult war of all and ends with victory, the rise of communism and Aliyah to Israel.
