At the center of the book is Ofer. A seventeen-year-old boy, orphaned by his father and the son of a mother immersed in her own world. In Tel Aviv in the early 1990s, he moves at night between forbidden impulses and stubborn hope, experiences extreme experiences and is finally forcibly brought to a psychiatric institution.
