Materials from Handel's literary estate, which have not yet been the subject of scholarly research, are revealed here for the first time, leading to surprising discoveries and new insights into Handel and her work. The estate materials include, among other things, a hidden novella, which is widely studied in the book, and an autobiographical text on which Handel worked during the last decade of her life.
