Zvia Lovatkin and Yitzhak (Antak) Zuckerman were the leaders of the Jewish Fighting Organization (IL) in Poland and the most senior fighters in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, which broke out on April 19, 1943 and has since been synonymous with heroism during the Holocaust. They survived and immigrated to Israel.
