Ira Rakover, a young man who carries with him a burdensome secret from the past, randomly (or not randomly) stumbles upon a shooting incident in the old city of Be'er Sheva in which an elderly man was shot and seriously injured. Following the incident, and under the influence of that secret from his past, he is swept into a whirlwind of events, and sets out on a journey.
